Commercial district needs assement (CDNA)

A Commercial District Needs Assesment (CDNA) is a report that highlights the existing business landscape, consumer characterists, physical environment, and unique character of the commercial corridors and local businesses that make up the identity of each neighborhood.

In partnership with the Department of Small Business Services between September 2020 and June 2021, the MPBID conducted a Morris Park and Van Nest Commercial District Needs Assessment. Major commercial corridors highlighted in this CDNA include Morris Park Avenue, White Plains Road, Lydig Avenue and Williamsbridge Road.

The Morris Park and Van Nest CDNA is a result of extensive research, outreach and data analyzing. The CDNA contains data from over 560 direct interviews with consumers, 280 with local businesses and countless hours of local community engagements and presentations. Key issues and opportunities identified through this assessment will help prioritize SBS-supported and BID related iniatives and serve as an informational and marketing resource for the neighborhood.
