“Avenue NYC” Program FY20-FY23

In Fall of 2020, the Morris Park Business Improvement District was awarded a 3 year Avenue NYC Commercial Revitalization Grant of $280,000.

The Department of Small Business Services’ (SBS) Avenue NYC program is a competitive multiyear grant program aimed at building the capacity of partner organizations to better understand neighborhood needs, develop impact programs and sustain their work in the community for at least three years. During the three-year grant term, MPBID participated in a cohort-based learning and training program, conducted an in-depth district assessment and executed commercial revitalization programs and services.

Program geographic area:

The program area included 4 different major commercial corridors, 2 BID districts and is over 60 blocks long.
