Supplementary Sanitation and Beautification
of the Morris Park Business District
The MPBID supplementary sanitation team from Streetplus provides 7hrs/day, 7 days/week sidewalks cleaning services. Additionally, once a month graffiti removal is conducted on Morris Park Avenue in the BID district, at no cost to businesses or property owners. Street furniture is inspected, painted and repaired or replaced when appropriate, and City agencies are contacted for assistance on addressing street and sidewalk conditions.
In October 2020 we started our very first horticulture and landscaping program on Morris Park Avenue, provided by The Horticulture Society of New York. The beautification program started in the fall and included cleaning, mulching and planting of 149 tree pits, with 59 guarded tree pits being planted with ornamental fall plants.
